THE AGENDA
The night,
hour by hour
Tuesday 15 September 2026 · 17:30 til 21:30
The new career infrastructure
For years your career value was what you could execute. As AI absorbs execution, judgment, belonging and visibility become the ground you build on. The frame for everything that follows.

Generalist vs specialist: what actually wins now
Go deep or go broad? As AI absorbs more of the specialist's work, the old advice is up for grabs. A panel that picks a side and argues it. Come with an opinion; you may leave with a different one.

Beyond your 9-5: how to build a portfolio career
More people want a career that isn't one job, one employer, one path, but few know how to start without leaping into the unknown. A practical, honest look at earning and growing alongside the day job, not by burning it down.

Hired, promoted, paid: winning in the AI era
The night's core promise, made concrete. How do you get hired, promoted and paid more when AI is reshaping what companies want? Founders and operators on the front line of hiring share what's really moving the needle and what's just noise.

FAQ
The things people usually ask
Still got a question? Email us at contact@techtalkuk.co and we'll get back to you.
Who is this actually for?
People building careers in tech - founders, operators, engineers, designers, PMs and marketers. Whether you're a recent graduate or a seasoned pro, you'll fit right in.
I'm coming alone. Will that be awkward?
No. Most people come alone. The format is built for it — one room, drinks on arrival, and a closing social designed to make talking to strangers easy.
What's included in the ticket?
Both keynotes, both panels, drinks on arrival and the closing social. No add-ons, no upsells.
What time does it start and finish?
Doors 17:30. Programme runs until around 21:30, followed by the closing social.
Can I expense it?
Most attendees do. We can send an itemised receipt after purchase — just reply to your confirmation email.
Is there a dress code?
No dress code. Wear what you'd wear to a good dinner with people you want to impress a little.
When are the speakers announced?
Keynote 1 is confirmed. Remaining keynote and both panels are announced in August.
Can I get a refund or pass my ticket on?
Tickets are non-refundable, but fully transferable up to 48 hours before the event. Email contact@techtalkuk.co to change the name on a ticket.
Will the talks be recorded / can I get the slides?
No - Connect isn't recorded. The value is in the room: the conversations, the people you meet, the questions you get to ask in person. You have to be there. We'll share a short recap and any speaker resources with attendees afterwards.
Where exactly is the venue?
Central London. The exact address is shared with ticket-holders two weeks before the event.
